Sharks Barksley auditions
Term 3: September - December, 2025
Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of improv comedy? Sharks Barksley, a dynamic short form improv group, is holding auditions for our third term of 2025, and we want you to join us!
What to Expect:
Terms: We have three terms each year. These auditions are for Term 3 (See below), September - December, 2025. Sign up for one or more terms based on your availability.
Rehearsals: Mondays from 7-9 PM at the Geery Theater. Performers should be available for and commit to attending at least 75% of rehearsals.
New Performers:
Can perform starting their second term to learn our games and style, unless they have comparable experience.
There will be a mandatory new performer orientation from 6:30 - 7 PM the day of the first rehearsal (9/15/25 for this term).

How to Prepare:
Dress for movement
We will be running through different improv warmups and testing your skills and performance with different short form improv games. We recommend watching some of our past shows to get a feel for what we’re after.
Getting to the venue:
The William J Geery Theater is a little green Victorian located at 2130 L St, Sacramento, CA 95816 (21st and L). There is free street parking available near the venue, so give yourself a little extra time to park. There’s no food or beverages other than water allowed in the theater.
When: Monday, September 8th, 7-9 PM (please arrive 10-15 minutes early)
Where: Geery Theatre (2130 L Street, Sacramento, CA)
Who: Improvisers at least 18 years of age with some improv experience (includes classes)

Yes, Clef! auditions
Help set the stage for a new musical improv experience in Sacramento!
Yes, Clef! is a new musical improv short form group presented by Haus of Comedy. Shows consist of a short list of musical improv games to find a format that achieves maximum musical silliness!
We’re looking for improvisers who identify as “Karaoke decent” (aka can hold a tune), are open to growing their musical ability, and above all are looking to have a good time. If you have experience with improv and enjoy singing, we encourage you to join!
When: Wednesday, September 24th, 6:30 PM (please arrive 10-15 minutes early)
Where: Ooley Theater (2007 28th St, Sacramento, CA 95818)
Who: Improvisers at least 18 years of age with some improv experience (includes classes)
Practice Schedule: Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm starting 10/1 through December
Show Schedule: Shows will take place at the Geery Theater (2130 L St, Sacramento) on the following dates:
12/13 at 7 PM
11/22 at 9 PM
10/25 at 7 PM
