Now accepting auditions for Super Scene, a narrative improv ensemble at Haus of Comedy.

About Super Scene

Super Scene is an audience-driven narrative improv format where within a show, each performer directs one story and acts in the others. It is a playful approach to narrative longform that gives performers the chance to act and direct longer stories and work heavily in genres.

Performers take turns:

  • Directing a story and establishing its premise, tone, genre, and world

  • Acting in each other’s scenes

  • Playing with genre, stakes, tension, and cliffhangers

  • Inviting the audience to choose which stories continues

As the show progresses, stories are eliminated until one final Super Scene remains.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for performers with narrative experience who bring strong potential, curiosity, and commitment. Specifically, we seeking performers who are excited about:

  • Narrative improv and world-building

  • Genre play (film/TV/book styles, tropes, tones)

  • Emotional commitment and clear character points of view

  • Directing scenes with clarity and playfulness

  • Supporting ensemble storytelling

  • Consistent rehearsal and performance commitments

If you love story, genre, and collaborative play, we’d love to see what you bring!
